The Goodlife Recipe was born, as the demand for wholesome dog/cat food and treats increased.

However, Mars Pertcare had very limited funds to launch the brand or create any consumer facing communications. The answer was simple -- create a sitcom like comic strip that would run weekly in People magazine. The comic strip was about a wholesome family, 'The Bartons', who own both a dog and a cat.

Every week a new installment came out, allowing us to be culturally relevant and reactive, while keeping costs for the brand down.
